Late into Wednesday's Game 1 between the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks, Knicks star Jalen Brunson was allegedly subject to "vulgar, profane flopping taunts" from two Spurs fans sitting courtside.

Eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed Brunson walking over to the scorer's table at the end of last night's game, and may have originally thought he was just speaking with crew chief Scott Foster. However, the guard was originally speaking with the fans, with Foster coming to put himself between the two parties.

The NBA has since announced it is investigating the incident.

Here's the latest on San Antonio fans making inappropriate comments to New York's star.

Jalen Brunson vs. fans video

Directly after New York's win on the road for Game 1, Brunson immediately made his way to the scorers' table, where a group of San Antonio fans were present. Foster consequently put himself between Brunson and the fans, with the Knicks' guard eventually speaking with Foster.

Here is the video from the end of Game 1:

It's unclear what the fan was saying during the game, but at the end of that video, you can hear a fan telling the New York star, "Bye-bye." Preliminary reports state that the fans were directing vulgar profanities regarding Brunson flopping during the game.

What did fans say to Jalen Brunson?

At the moment, it is unclear what wording the fans specifically said to Brunson. According to Chris Haynes, all that has been shared to the public is that some Spurs fans sitting courtside uttered "vulgar, profane flopping taunts" directed at Brunson.

Here is Haynes reporting on the comments while on The Dan Patrick Show:

Haynes shared that these comments came with around 20 seconds left in Game 1. While it looked like Brunson went over to talk to Foster after the game, he was actually heading towards the fans sitting at the scorer's table. Foster put himself between Brunson and the fans, and the guard began speaking with the referee about solving the situation.

According to the report, only two fans are being investigated. The Spurs faithful duo allegedly directed vulgar, profane “flopping” taunts towards the Knicks star late in the fourth quarter of Game 1. Foster put himself between Brunson and the fans to attempt at deescalating the situation.
