The Tennessee Titans are taking the weekend to prepare for their final week of offseason team activities (OTAs), making it a great time to catch up on lingering items from Friday’s open practice session.
After practice, linebacker Cedric Gray met with the media and talked about a couple of rookies, specifically linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. and wide receiver Carnell Tate. When asked about Tate, he admitted he was already a fan.
“Tate? Yeah. Oh, he’s the truth. He’s the truth. Y’all just saw it today. He had a few plays today. I actually literally just went up to him after practice today. I told him, “You cold,” because for real, I’m a huge fan and I’m on the Tate bandwagon right now.”

And if you haven’t seen the one-handed snag Tate pulled in during practice, here’s your chance.
Tate has clearly made an impression on both those inside and outside the facility during OTAs, and appears to be ready to step into the WR1 role heading into his rookie season with his bigger frame and great hands. And now he appears to be building chemistry with Ward, something that could take the Titans' offense to a new level in 2026.
