Social media reacts to Texas A&M's 17-2 rout of Texas State

Texas A&M's bats came alive in a dominant 17-2 win over Texas State, as the Aggies advanced to the College Station Regional final.

After giving up solo home runs in back-to-back innings, right-handed pitcher Weston Moss bounced back to record one of his most impressive outings in the Maroon and White. Moss notched a career-high 10 strikeouts and allowed five hits in 7.1 innings pitched.

Meanwhile, Texas A&M's offense came alive to score 17 unanswered runs, led by left fielder Jake Duer's career-high six RBI and Chris Hacopian's four RBI.

It remains undetermined who will pitch for the Aggies in the regional final against Texas State or USC, but head coach Michael Earley confirmed after the game that right-hander Aiden Sims is out for the year. The devastating news for the already thin Aggie bullpen could be detrimental, unless Texas A&M can get more consistent outings from guys like Shane Sdao and Ethan Darden moving forward.
