Bayern are also looking to sign an attacking midfielder, and have registered strong interest in Ismael Saibari after missing out on Anthony Gordon.
Bayern Munich keen on Sergino Dest
Christian Falk has exclusively told CFBayern Insider that Bayern are interested in signing Sergino Dest in the summer transfer window.
The Bavarian giants previously showed interest in the 25-year-old full-back when he was playing for Ajax.
However, he rejected a move to Bayern back then to join Barcelona.
After failing to make a big impact for the Catalan giants, Dest moved to AC Milan and then to PSV Eindhoven on loans.

PSV signed him permanently in the summer of 2024 on a free transfer. The Dutch defender enjoyed a productive 2025-26 season, scoring two goals in 38 games across all competitions.
Latest on Sergino Dest: Why Bayern want him?
Falk tells us that Dest has emerged as an attractive option because he can over both full-back positions, where Bayern need back-ups.
At right back, Vincent Kompany has Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic as options, while at left-back, he has Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito and Tom Bischof.
Ito is primarily a centre-back, while Bischof is likely to be used as a central midfielder going forward. Moreover, Bayern are concerned with Davies’s injury problems, and doubts remain over his long-term future at the club.

At the moment, Sergino Dest is one of the names being considered, but Bayern have yet to make any formal move for the defender.
According to Dutch journalist, Rik Elfrink, Dest has a release clause worth €23-25m in his contract.
Bayern and other clubs are showing interest. Barcelona hold a sell-on clause of around 20%, that means €5m would go to them.
