The Indian cricket team is all set to play an 'away' T20I series against Afghanistan in September, just months after the Afghans visit India for a one-off Test and a three-match ODI series in June.
BCCI are yet to formally announce the 'away' T20I series against Afghanistan, but the Times of India reports that the away series will be played at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium.

A BCCI source told TOI, "The BCCI mediated an understanding between ACB, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), for availability to be the home base for Afghanistan for the series. The DDCA is also scheduling its Delhi Premier League T20 accordingly."
All three matches will be played at the same venue on September 13, 16 and 19. The series is also significant as the India T20I will compete at the Asian Games soon after the series, which starts on September 23.
