BREAKING: Source confirms “multiple clubs” in touch with Chelsea regular; Blues “would not block departure”

Chelsea are willing to sell Marc Cucurella, and the full back is willing to leave the club. It could all come together very quickly.

It’s news we’ve been expecting, and had already pretty much internalised, but now it’s been rubber stamped by top sources at the Athletic: Chelsea are willing to sell Marc Cucurella for the right price, and the full back is ready to leave.

Sources speaking to the Athletic have said that the full back is “willing to leave Chelsea after a frustrating season.” Cucurella voiced those frustrations in some very frank comments during the March international break.

Meanwhile Chelsea are “relaxed” because he has two years and a further year of club option on his deal. They are willing to sell, but only at the right price.

Cucurella’s time at Chelsea coming to natural end

Right now, it feels about 50-50 whether Cucurella will be at Stamford Bridge next season. He is happy to leave, but not desperate. The club are happy to sell, but not desperate. Teams are interested, but none are desperate. One of the three parties will have to step up the intensity if we’re to see a potentially pretty expensive deal go down.
