The Wisconsin Badgers double-dipped with commitments on Sunday, landing three-star linebacker Nathan Jones after nabbing four-star wide receiver Jai Jones earlier in the day.
Nathan Jones, also a native of Arizona, played at Desert Edge this year, and saw his recruitment really take a step forward this spring. He landed offers from Baylor, Florida State, and UNC after schools like Arizona and Kansas State offered back in January.

The Badgers only formally offered Jones in May, but they made significant steam in his recruitment, being the only school to get an official visit from the three-star linebacker.
Well, after his official visit this weekend, Jones decided to pull the trigger and make his commitment to the Badgers, giving them 15 commits in the 2027 class.
He becomes the second linebacker in the class, joining three-star linebacker Keaton Wollan, who recently committed to Wisconsin and was in attendance this weekend as well.
Jones had been crystal-balled to the Badgers for the past two weeks, as it became clear Wisconsin was his top contender. Heading into the weekend, there were six uncommitted targets coming to campus, and the Badgers had been crystal balled for three of those targets.

Jai Jones, who committed earlier in the day, wasn’t a part of that group, while Nathan Jones was. Now, let’s see if Wisconsin can close on some of the remaining prospects in that group to cap off a very eventful weekend in Madison.
