The Boston Red Sox have come under a lot of fire for a February trade that sent Kyle Harrison, David Hamilton and Shane Drohan to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for Claeb Durbin, Anthony Seigler and Andruw Monasterio.

Unfortunately for Boston, Harrison has turned into one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, earning the Brewers seven wins in his 11 starts and posting a 1.57 ERA through 57.1 innings.

Drohan, too, has been solid out of the bullpen, while Hamilton is the same old .200 hitter he was in Boston.

At the start of the season, it looked like Boston had traded a Cy Young candidate for a slumping third baseman who went six games before recording his first hit and a couple lesser-known prospects.

But after Seigler was called up to replace utility man Nick Sogard, who was forced onto the 10-day injured list on Wednesday, the Red Sox now have all three trade pieces in their clubhouse.

Durbin has been the everyday starting third baseman all season. Monasterio has made 31 appearances, filling in mostly for the injured Trevor Story at shortstop, and batting .239 on the season.

Seigler was finding his swing with Triple-A Worcester after recovering from a knee injury over the offseason. He was batting just a hair under .300 with a .896 OPS. Seigler, like many others in interim manager Chad Tracy's clubhouse, plays multiple positions in the infield.

He walked more than he struck out in Worcester, and Tracy told reporters that his eye is a big reason why he got the call.

"Very good eye at the plate, takes his walks and does damage against right-handed pitching," Tracy said. "So he’ll give us some help with an extra left-hand bat off the bench."
